    • Tail Subsystem Manager Engineer
      • Sep 2020 - Present

Since the beginning of my career in LiftUP, I have been actively and profitably committed to achieving the set goals and helping in the construction of a fixed-wing competition drone (Air Cargo Competition 2022 - Munich). I was placed in the department that deals with the structural design and construction of the aircraft, in particular inside the tail assembly subsystem. After the first year in which I joined the previous manager, now I have become one myself. I developed autonomous work skills, technical skills with CAD modeling software (Solidworks) and FEM Structural Analysis (Ansys Mechanical - Ansys ACP). I constantly test myself and my skills to effectively find practical solutions to problems that arise daily. Within the project I also developed my bachelor's degree thesis. Show less

After a few years in which I was stopped from practicing rugby at a competitive level (before I was in the youth teams of Petrarca Rugby), I restarted playing with the Cus Padova team in 2020. Unfortunately, during the first year it was not possible to organize any real match, let alone a championship, due to Covid, but with the resumption of activities and social life in 2021 I too returned to play this sport to which I gave a lot of effort and dedication. I have always been used to training 3 times a week, to work (on the pitch) for the well-being of the team and to give every breath I have left to advance even a few meters, one point after another. This sport has taught me to be humble but courageous, ready to challenge whatever it is. How it is more important to know that you have given everything, rather than having won or lost and how it is necessary to keep a group united even in the face of discouragement and adversity, because alone, in individuals, there is no hope of victory. In these eight months I took part in the challenge proposed by Francesca Menegon within the ClabVeneto 2022 to improve animal welfare within dairy farms. This required a lot of study of the state of the art about the topic and after many iterations and an inversion of the focus of the project to meet the needs of the market, we came to the final idea of a system to monitor the amount of feed ingested by cows in a non-invasive and fully automated way. This plays an important factor in the market in fact as a group we are currently working with Unibo (University of Bologna) in trying to realize our idea in a product and a startup-spinoff. The team is multidisciplinary formed by 3 other different engineers and a veterinarian (Francesca). This has often forced us to relate to others in areas of our competence/incompetence alternately, in order to complete the project. Personally I have practiced data collection and analysis, graphic design for presentations, and teamwork. Show less

I spent two and a half weeks between December 2021 and January 2022 in Dubai, as a Vatican ambassador volunteer, to be part of the staff of the Holy See pavilion at EXPO 2020. It was a highly formative experience, where I lived in close contact with other Italian and European colleagues, to welcome and guide local and foreign visitors inside the pavilion and explain its details, curiosities and meaning. I also had to relate to a local culture extremely different from the one I'm used to: customs, habits, cuisine, ways of relating, rights and duties of citizens (which depend a lot on the type of citizens...) can be very impactful the first time, as it was for us volunteers. I was able to insert myself positively in this context and carry out the task assigned to me, also having to compensate (together with my companions) for the lack of the friars responsible for the project, absent for a few days due to covid. The extremely multicultural environment of the EXPO was certainly a stimulus to interrelate positively with others and also to experience more of the 'world' in the future, reinforcing my desire to work abroad for a few years after my master's degree. As part of the school-work alternation program, I participated in a three-week internship at the CNR-RFX consortium in Padua, where I mainly proceeded to gain programming experience in Python regarding an experiment on the power supply of the ITER-SPIDER project. I was supervised by a physics researcher from the consortium. In these three weeks I have had scientific and international-breadth work experience, developing my skills in Python a lot.
