Research activity in the group of biomarkers of exposure lead by Prof. Dr. Silvia Fustinoni. Main activities: development and validation of analytical methods for the determination of environmental pollutants in biological fluids. Development, validation and application of GC / MS and LC-MS analytical methods for detecting airborne, urinary and blood biomarker of exposure of hazardous substances (eg polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, benzene, solvents, pesticides). Tutor activity for a master student on "Development and validation of a GC/MS method for the detection of DNA methylation in healthy volunteers, leukemia patients and a cohort of gasoline station attendants”. Collaboration with the epidemiology group of the University of Milan for a project about DNA methylation, aging and benzene occupation and environmental exposure. Extended statistical work on multiple source studies using the SPSS software.
