During my time at Wolverhampton City Council I have been involved in a large range of Environmental Health duties including Food Hygiene, Food Standards, Health and Safety and Public Protection. These duties have included carrying out routine inspections along with investigating complaints, accidents and infectious diseases. In addition to this I have served a large number of Notices, including Hygiene Emergency Prohibition Notices and have successfully carried out prosecutions for both food safety and health and safety offences. My current position as a Senior Environmental Health Officer includes being the lead officer in relation to Food Standards (food labelling) as well as Private Water Supplies. These roles have involved having a full understanding of the relevant legislation and cascading it to colleagues. In addition to leading small teams to ensure that Wolverhampton City Council fulfils its statutory obligations in relation to the legislation. During the years at Wolverhampton City Council I have been involved in the training and development of Student EHO's along with organising and undertaking Food Hygiene Training. Also I have organised health promotion activities and food standards sampling and projects. Recently I have been heavily involved in the planning of a nutritional project aimed at fast food takeaways. A few years ago I was one of the officers featured in a number of ITV1 series Grimefighters/Grimebusters.
