Design page elements: Add design elements in UTUSAN layout; such as headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and other visual elements to break up long blocks of text and create visual interest. System: Learned how to use the ATEX system that links with InDesign. Communication & teamwork: Coordinate with the Editor and Designers to determine the placement of headlines, images, and other design elements on the page. Editors will look for consistency in the newspaper layout, including consistent use of fonts, colors, and design elements across all pages and sections. Image enhancement: Use Adobe Photoshop to edit and prepare images for placement in the newspaper. To make sure the images are high resolution and suitable for print. Use InDesign to place the images and align them with the text/caption. New experience: We were allowed to visit the newspaper printing factory.
