      SAFE is a body for regional cooperation amongst the capital markets’ players of South Asia, representing twenty-seven member entities from eight South Asian countries. SAFE has a charter duly approved by the members and mandated to work upon promotion and development of regional securities markets, sharing of technology, information, human resource and other facilities, working towards common standards and adoption of best market practices and initiating cross border trade, listing and development of projects of regional collaboration. Reporting to the Secretary General of SAFE and acting in an assisting capacity to the same, I am responsible; • For running, superintending and effectuating the day-to-day operations, administration and management of the SAFE Secretariat • For the procurement of requisite registration or recognition of governments or any other authorities concerned, • Take all such steps as may be necessary or expedient for enabling SAFE to carry on with its functions in an expedient manner • For obtaining from any government, authority, corporation, company or person (national and international) any rights, privileges, concessions and exemptions which SAFE may think desirable, and to carry out, exercise and comply with any such rights, privileges, concessions and exemptions • To oversee all administrative and financial affairs • To work on new initiatives alongwith the member entities Special Projects; working on new initiatives like SAFE’s Financial Literacy Campaign, promotion of Investor Relations standards in the region, holding Country focused Roundtables from SAFE in South Asia, new flagship series of SAFE’s Executive leadership Forums, as well as continuing work on SAFE’s renowned series of South Asian Capital Market Conferences, and regular capacity building programs. Active research contribution towards SAFE’s research projects related to market harmonization and market integration models. Show less
