B.Tech is largest Household Appliances & Electronics retailer in Egypt. It started in 2016 an ever growing e-commerce sale channel. With a team of e-commerce professionals, we focused on supporting Btech with recruitments of key people to support their e-commerce arm as well as setting the right processes, KPIs and systems to support the scale of online sales. My focus is on operations (order management, customer service, supply chain), with a support on both processes and systems. B.Tech is largest Household Appliances & Electronics retailer in Egypt. We strongly believe in crowdfunding as a leverage to kick start projects of any kind and a stakeholder of the social, cultural and entrepreneurial ecosystems along with other concepts and actors. These North African peculiarities also made it obvious that offering a financial revolution through crowdfunding was the right thing to push for: - Risk averse and conservative banking systems - Lack of early stage funding - Great Internet penetration - Diasporas very keen on giving back to their home country (provided they get transparency and good investment opportunities) At the heart of our vision lies the thought that crowdfunding is a financial innovation that would drain more diasporas remittances and investments to projects with social and economic impacts in their home countries. We are mainly targeting diasporas networks in order to collect funds for the different projects we select on CoFundy. In order to make a sustainable impact, we established partnerships with different actors such as IMPACT, the first social businesses incubators of LAB’ESS in Tunisia and CIEP – CONECT Innovation Entrepreneurship Platform. Our partners are able to carry on the coaching part before and after the funding, with some of the projects, in order to maximize their chances to grow.
