  - Worked within this non-profit group program called Youth In Charge (Y.I.C) and performed various tasks such as : - Attending weekly meetings to discuss our organization's programs regarding efficacy, improvement and necessities to better serve the youth in our community. - Observing and interviewing students in after school enrichment classes to gather qualitative data.- Prepared and Present information in front of the Board Of Directors to explain the benefits of our after school programs as well as suggesting where funding should be allocated.- Collaborated with other youth members to brainstorm ideas on themes that the summer program would focus on.- Conducted interviews and took part in hiring possible candidates for our team. - Discussed and narrow down our focus on significant issues facing the Mission District in order to makes a positive impact in the community. - Joined the "Free Muni For Youth" campaign - Spoke at a press conference at city hall in behalf of all youth. - This effort led to the unanimous vote for a approved budget that prioritizes the needs of low and moderate income youth.
