I would like to recomend Fakhry Akkad in his professional life, We went toghether as students to the GSAPP at Columbia University and later on I have had the the possibility of counting with his critics on my professional works. He is an outstanding architectural designer, encouraged worker, and great critic.

I joined AFK as a self-employed consultant in June 2016 to carry on working on 80 Charlotte Street for Derwent London and Multiplex. AFK have been novated to deliver the project whilst Make remain as the compliance architects. 80 Charlotte Street is a £200-million development for Derwent London. This commercial-led project aims to replace the existing 1960s block currently home to the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi. At AFK, I was the project design leader (interiors) as well as the SMEP coordination leader.

I joined Make particularly to work on 80 Charlotte Street, a £200-million development for Derwent London. This 35,000 sqm commercial-led project aims to replace the existing 1960s block currently home to the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi with a stylish and refined building predicated on refined mid-century modernism as well as the cultural legacy of Fitzrovia. On 80 CS, I led the design of the interior packages as well as the structure and MEP service coordination. Working with Arup, we designed a painstakingly-arranged and obsessively-detailed expressed steel frame with bespoke high-finish concrete planks and innovative MEP solutions for the fit-out. The result is a sophisticated, timeless building that is crafted of steel, concrete, shutterboard concrete, Petersen Brick, Dinesen timber and Cor-Ten.

The Amman Lab: Workshop is an intensive two-week rapid exchange in search of emergent issues concerning contemporary public space in the Middle East. The 2011 session of the workshop focuses on Response. As an immediate necessity of public space, Response requires adaptive environments supported by infrastructures sensitive to a dynamic context. Response varies depending on frequency and magnitude, effecting change and stimulating action. At once sustained through feedback and dependant on interaction, the activated environment becomes a participant in emergent public space.
