I have worked with Faizan for nearly 2.5 years on the Adam Airbase construction project near Adam in Sultanate of Oman. Faizan was a project/package engineer working for Al Badi company, one of the main contractors having their scope covering a number of packages across the Project. I was working as an assistant resident engineer for a PM/CM company, Hill International. I can recall that since the beginning of my assignment I've got an impression that has remained unchanged until I left the project at its near completion stage: Faizan was one of the most valuable assets his employer have gathered for this high-profiled and well known project even outside of Oman. He was an extremely dedicated engineer, highly motivated despite all the difficulties and every day's challenges his team was going through. Persistent and always keen to go to the root cause of every issue, regardless was it of a design, procedural or construction nature. Getting things done right the first time was one his major qualities. Implementing the corrective action if any delays or running costs to the project and attending weekly meetings with package Engineers and site Engineers. Initiates, prepare, reviews, tracks & clears RFIs by finding an appropriate solution and getting it approved by the client. Managing Variation orders /Advice on variation works by monitoring changes to designs, assessing effects on cost, measuring, valuing, and negotiating variations to designs. Considers the financial implications of actions, including the effective and efficient expenditure of allocated funds. Issuing NCRs to subcontractors for not complying with the specifications produced by the client, Liaising with any consultant, client, subcontractors, and the general workforce involved in the project. Also, I ensured management and adherence to Health & Safety Systems and Requirements, including Environmental Impact Assessments and the Company Construction Environmental Management Permit (CEMP) requirements.

I keenly checked my subcontractors by matching their materials with the bill of quantities(BOQ) and specs and prepared their bills. Carried out site inspections and ensured that work got approved by the Consultant /client. Adroitly drove activities related to project control in terms of the contract, specification, Material approval Submittals (MAS) design review, construction management, installation, interfacing, integration, testing and commissioning, training, and handover. Coordinated with teams and proactively identified complex issues and solved them.
