  : Sitara Chemicals Industry Sitara Chemicals is the largest chlor alkali complex on national basis. It deals with the manufacturing of Caustic Soda and allied chemical such as liquid Chlorine, Oxygen and carbon di Oxide etc. Currently Plant is producing a total of 650 MT of Caustic soda per day. In the Chlor-Alkali process membrane cells are used for the production of the Caustic Soda. During my work I am learning about the complete process of the plant, Membrane Technology, different unit operations, unit processes and different plant’s equipments such as Furnaces, Boilers, Reactors, Valves and Pumps Etc. Raw materials being used are Mono Ethylene Glycol and Pure Tere Pthalic Acid. Polyester finds its extensive uses in the textile industry as it is used in manufacturing of different types of clothing.
