As a research assistant at Institute of Social Informatics & Technological Innovation (ISITI), Malaysia currently, I've collaborated with research students to build tools & technologies for indigenous communities. Working with research students in the context of indigenous communities has been a great learning experience in my career. I've also been involved in developing and testing Cambridge Accessible Tests (CATs) and Elimsis, and guiding community children in developing embedded DIY systems. I conducted usability tests and coordination of CATs which is an online learning system developed by the world’s leading English experts in Cambridge, designed to improve the learner’s listening, writing, reading and speaking skills of English language in small manageable steps that include nine levels of programs to progress from beginner to intermediate. To strengthen Malaysians' English, the Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) and Cambridge Malaysian Education and Development Trust (CMEDT) signed the letter of Intent to launch CATs. CATs testing and implementation has been a new experience for me and especially to work with students, guide them for CATs and arrange their tests. Students are really loving this and taking interest in learning. I created contents for Elimsis which is an interactive ICT e-learning platform designed for use on Android smart phones and tablets.

I got good programming, development and research experience at Center of Excellence in Semantic Technology & Augmented Reality (CoESTAR), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) while working as research assistant in the field of mobile augmented reality (AR). We developed award winning augmented reality applications for mobile gadgets (Android & iPhone). I worked in marker based and marker less AR applications including AR browser and location based app that take advantage of the sensors like GPS, Gyroscope and Accelerometer, and display information from web and points of interest (POIs) on top of camera. I worked on AR book development for school kids. I developed a mobile AR for marker detection and displaying virtual 3D objects on top of camera in real time. I developed AR games like AR drone. I developed the location based mobile AR app using speeded up robust features (SURF) along with the ratio test matching and geometric consistency check techniques. In this duration, I also started my master in Intelligent Systems, and worked on sentiment analysis and machine learning. I tested my hybrid semantic based unsupervised machine learning approach on state of the art products reviews datasets which outperforms the existing state of the art approaches. I lead undergraduate discussion sections, supervised students on appropriate research topics, and edited and evaluated their works (projects). I taught at undergraduate level some courses like structured & object oriented programming, web development, artificial intelligence, and computer graphics in classes as well as labs. I also joined some other projects like microwave data processing from satellite, developing educational games using intelligent agents for school students, and other web based & AR applications for indigenous communities during the same period. This five years duration brought a real change in my life where I got teaching exposure, learnt research and improved my development and programming skills.

There I worked on developing multi point mouse environment for developing educational games based on Microsoft's MultiPoint Mouse SDK using intelligent agents for school students. I also worked on Satellite microwave data of weather and environment related to moisture and humidity in the air of a specific area.
