Fahad is passionate about the future of transportation, and it shows in his work, the way he builds relationships with his partners and clients, and his constant appetite for information. Every time I talk to Fahad, I feel I learn something new. Fahad was my business partner at the Autonomous Vehicles Innovation Network (AVIN) Toronto program representing the Ontario Good Roads Association (OGRA). He brought a fresh mindset, a sense of humour, and an incredible willingness to collaborate. I am glad I had the opportunity to work with Fahad, and I hope to do so again.

OGRA hired Fahad in 2001 and it was one of the best things we did. A great employee doesn't sit around waiting for direction, they simply act and that is what Fahad has done since joining our team. He has almost single handily developed a number of cutting edge member services for our Association and has led OGRA into areas that we might not have ventured. He pushed OGRA into the autonomous vehicle space creating the Municipal Alliance for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles of Ontario (MACAVO) and proposed, designed and delivered the TAC award winning Winter Web App now used by over 250 municipalities to create their Winter Operations Plan. He also designed and brought on-line the Weather Tracker a low cost solution that helps municipalities comply with the Minimum Maintenance Standards (MMS) and is currently redesigning the Ontario Provincial Standards website, which when complete will help the municipal sector realize the value of the OPS. He's done all this while carrying out his other responsibilities. Fahad is a valued member of the OGRA team, not just for his innovation and engineering prowess but also because he genuinely cares about OGRA and its members and because he is simply a nice guy. Always a smile on his face, an infectious laugh, I have never seen him in a foul mood or heard him complain. He is one of those employees you love to see show up for work everyday. I fervently hope that Fahad stays with OGRA for the remainder of his career, but if he should decide to leave and you are considering hiring him, do it and do it right away. You will not be disappointed. Some employees require guidance, monitoring and constant feedback. In Fahad's case, the best thing you could do is hire him and then get out of his way. Good things will happen..... guaranteed.
