"D'Alzon Chengdu" was a French educational program offering schooling modeled on the standards of French schools, from Kindergarten to Middle School. Our classes were aimed at French and French-speaking students in the city. They were hosted by local schools. As a field coordinator, I started and led this program. I ensured compliance with the standards and curricula as defined by the French Ministry of National Education by supervising the teaching team. I liaised between all the parties involved in the conduct of this project: Institut d’Alzon (France), local partners and authorities, French Consulate, parents of our students. My missions also consisted in ensuring the financial follow-up of the program, and its promotion. As a teacher, I was in charge of a primary multi-levels class where I taught courses in several disciplines (French, mathematics, art or sport). Show less

The school is located in what was then a war zone, and welcomes a very international audience. I taught to Primary and Middle School students. One of the challenges was to be able to offer education in accordance with French standards, to a lot of students whose French is not their mother tongue. Show less
