  Experimental study to determine the Acoustic Response (Acoustic Transfer Function) of the large Cavitation Water Tunnel (Hydrodynamic) facility. The Water tunnel can be sealed and can reduce the internal static pressure, to perform cavitation studies. The measurement of the Acoustic Transfer Function allow the facility to be used to perform experimental measurement on ship and propellers model of the noise generated by the cavitation phenomena due to cavitation gas bubbles implosion. The results of this study were the base of the graduation thesis. INSEAN is a Research Institute active in the field of naval architecture and marine engineering within the frame of the National Research Council of Italy. Established in 1927, and known since then as "The Italian Ship Model Basin", it is located in the south-west suburb of Rome. Show less
