Fabio came on as Lead Student Pastor over 6-12 grades, and provided the unstable student ministry of First Baptist Alma with stability and growth. Under his leadership the student ministry more than tripled in student attendance and participation within the 2 yrs. He served there and the student ministry had seen an increase in salvations, baptisms, and attendance each year as well.In addition to preaching Wednesday Night youth services and planning and implementing large group outreach and discipleship events Fabio also implemented a consistent discipleship plan for both high school and college students. Fabio revamped Sunday school to provide more structure and growth as well as having recruited and equipped an entire team of leaders for the student ministry. Fabio always strives to connect ministry at church to the family at home and each week Fabio interacted with more than 100 students and 20 leaders and provided vision for the ministries under the leadership of his pastor.

Associate Family Pastor

After some staff realignment due to the church taking more of a family ministry approach, Fabio became the Associate Family Pastor. In this position Fabio pioneered the church’s first college ministry, planned and implemented a new and more secure check in/out system for children/preschool, led game time for Sunday Morning children’s worship, and designed and developed new creative ideas to reach families like the church’s now annual church wide Christmas Facebook scavenger hunt.

Fabio had served as the Associate Student Pastor under the leadership of JP Sutmiller. Fabio also served as the associate to the previous student pastor and as Interim Student Pastor before the arrival of JP. As an interim Fabio developed and lead “Super Summer”, an outreach event that gathered more than 150 students for a period of three days, which is now an annual event.During his two years Fabio preached Wednesday services as needed, led on-campus bible studies for middle school and high school students, and had helped develop and teach UnitedFront, which is a unique discipleship program for students (published by Crossway Publishing).
