I worked for the Biofouling & Ballast Water group as well as the Biodiscovery group. PML Applications was set up by PML to commercialise a wide range of products and solutions spanning many sectors using cutting-edge science. I was involved in the planning and carrying out of experiments for various projects, ranging from testing the susceptibility of novel paints and materials to biofouling (e.g. barnacles or mussels), exploring the potential of biofuels from algae, to developing feasible, affordable solutions for treating waste water in 3rd world countries.
