Ms Ezgi Gedik completed a Local Expert assignment as part of the “Experts for Municipal Partnerships Worldwide” program jointly implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Engagement Global. The Local Expert was assigned to the Eskişehir Tepebaşı Municipality (Turkey) in the framework of the district partnership between Eskişehir Tepebaşı and Berlin TreptowKöpenick (Germany). The Municipality of Eskişehir Tepebaşı was supported by Ms Gedik Güneş in the field of social entrepreneurship, sustainability, and youth work with a special focus on promoting social and economic prospects for refugees. The Local Expert was assigned to the Eskişehir Tepebaşı Municipality (Turkey) in the framework of the district partnership between Eskişehir Tepebaşı and Berlin TreptowKöpenick (Germany).Ms Gedik was responsible for carrying out the following tasks for her employer (Eskişehir Tepebaşı Municiaplity) contributing to the agreement on results between her employer and Treptow-Köpenick: - Coordinating a collaborative and extensive funding proposal writing together with the District Municipality of TreptowKöpenick- Planning and implementing training courses on social entrepreneurship, business development and personal development together with various (non-)governmental entities, international organizations, and the Tepebaşı Municipality Social Incubation Center- Participating in national and international knowledge transfer formats and managing public relations and marketing (Videos, Social Media, Articles)- Organizing of training courses on Project Cycle Management (PCM) targeting youth- Organizing international workshops for youth on the Agenda 2030’s Sustainable Development Goals- Organizing a knowledge sharing conference on sustainability between the partner municipalities of Eskişehir Tepebaşı and Berlin Treptow-Köpenick- Conceptualizing and planning a school partnership program between schools in the districts of Tepebaşı and TreptowKöpenick- Providing data in the Monitoring and Evaluation processes with specific regards to the annual reporting to the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development Show less
