  I was a TA for Accelerated Fundamentals of Computer Science I for the Fall 2022 semester. This is a notoriously difficult course, in which I both struggled and learned a lot. I wanted to help other students in their time taking this course as well and also be a helpful peer to freshmen who are adjusting to college while taking this course. I evaluated and reviewed students’ code in labs and during office hours to provide feedback on design choices and coding practices; demonstrated code walk-throughs to aid student understanding. Additionally, I guided 60+ students through their study of computation fundamentals and programming design patterns to familiarize students with functional programming principles in Racket student languages.   I was selected from a competitive pool of applicants exhibiting proficiency in multiple programming languages and a passion for empowering young women and non-binary individuals. I collaborated with a team of 2 instructors and 14 instructor assistants throughout two-week camps to deliver lessons on HTML/CSS/JavaScript, provide technical support, and build an empowering community for students of underrepresented genders in 10+ countries. I ensured scholar proficiency in web development skills by responding to scholar feedback, facilitating remediation lessons, and leading 20+ scholars in building fully functional websites. I was honored to return to Kode with Klossy as an IA since I first learned how to code at KWK. Without KWK, I would not be where I am today.
