Review the contractor’s material submissions and give recommendations to the chief resident engineer and resident engineer. • Review and assess the materials delivered to the site, sign off the relevant parts of the contractor’s MIRs and inspect and approve materials manufactured there. • Understand material standards and be able to enforce the specifications on the contractor and the different suppliers. • Identify non-conforming work, Issue NCRs / SORs then liaise with the… Show more Review the contractor’s material submissions and give recommendations to the chief resident engineer and resident engineer. • Review and assess the materials delivered to the site, sign off the relevant parts of the contractor’s MIRs and inspect and approve materials manufactured there. • Understand material standards and be able to enforce the specifications on the contractor and the different suppliers. • Identify non-conforming work, Issue NCRs / SORs then liaise with the resident engineer for further action, and close out. • Responsible for the QA/QC procedures, witnessing materials testing, and reviewing all material test results. • Raise any non-conformances, poor workmanship, or safety issues with the resident engineer. • Review and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the shop drawings and design drawings. • Carry out daily inspections of the civil works and sign off the relevant parts of the contractor’s WIRs promptly. • Responding to accident reports, visiting the accident site, assessing damage to municipal assets, calculating quantities, and estimating maintenance costs. • Responding to cases received through the customer relationship management (CRM) system and communicating with customers to resolve complaints submitted by them as quickly as possible. • Responding to cases received on the municipal e-permitting system (MePS). • Working on the distortions management system (DMS). • Monitoring distortions in the mainland of Abu Dhabi city within the Al Wathba area using the Freejna mobile application and the distortions management system (DMS). • Conducting studies to evaluate the municipality’s assets, monitoring distortions, quantifying their quantities, estimating their costs, and preparing reports and presentations according to the municipality’s directives. • Preparing any type of reports or presentations as directed by the chief resident engineer/ resident engineer.
