Extrinsic specialises in thinking outside the square. If you have the glimmer of an idea for improving your business, talking it through with us, in strictest confidence, might help your idea to develop into something tangible. We look for questions that have not been answered before, and business concepts that have not been developed before. We work with you to explore and understand your ideas and concepts, in order to identify the questions that need to be asked, in order to locate the information that is needed to give ideas substance, and to implement business concepts Effective business evolution that responds to your vision needs to be managed. It rarely happens by chance. Show less

As Chief Information Officer at Loyalty New Zealand (on Executive Lease), I was responsible for the design of improvements to intelligence gathering and analysis to enhance the intrinsic value of Fly Buys to Participants and Members. During my tenure, Loyalty had 50 Programme Participants, and reacted with over 85% of NZ households. The business relationships between Participants, and the relationships that Loyalty has with each participant, are commercially sensitive, but crucial to the business development strategies for both Loyalty and the Participants. The accuracy and security of information is critical to the operation of the Fly Buys programme. In this respect it is very similar to a banking system. I held overall responsibility for strategic industry development, security, operational ICT performance and accuracy, and liaison with Participant ICT functions. I reported directly to the Chief Executive, and was a member of the Senior Management Team. Show less

I was invited to join the Board of City Link – a fibre broadband telecommunications network and systems switching company – as an Independent Director. An Independent Director was considered necessary at that time, to provide balance between the vested interests of the other shareholders. I continued in this role until one of the shareholders acquired a controlling stake in the company, and proceeded to formed a new Board.
