Connect Catering operates over 6 campuses at Western Sydney University. I manage a team of 20 staff members that assist the operations in multiple outlets, including but not limited to, a 70 seat restaurant, a takeaway outlet and also managing Functions Catering Team across the 6 campuses. As the Catering Coordinator, my duties have been varied throughout the two roles. I manage the operation of catering requests from each campus and oversee the duties of the Events Administrator. Duties included, but not limited to Creating event sheets, following up on client’s requests, confirming contracts and sending out event sheets to the relevant campus coordinators. Preparing catering floor plans per event requests Co-ordinate the bump in and setting up of furniture per client’s requirements and expectations Liaising with 5 campus coordinators, to ensure all functions and events are correct and seek feedback on events. Prepare event budgets, provide periodic progress reports to management for each event project and keep track of event finances including revenue, quotes and invoices Track events/activities services finances and report back to key stakeholders Obtaining quotes on hire equipment and furniture through multiple suppliers. Monitoring of stock control and equipment maintenance Ensure that all FOH & BOH staff members are organised, performed their duties and maintain their areas and equipment within the company standard. Maintains the highest level of sanitation and complying the Food Safety Program throughout all the food and beverage areas. Prepare, plan and manage an annual calendar of events. Report results on events and activities services Actively seek opportunities for events by conducting research to develop event concepts Investigate and maintain relationships with external providers to deliver quality events Create and distribute promotional material for events and activities
