Collaborated with Aerospace Engineering students to develop an Obstacle Detection and Avoidance System for UAVs. Developed a visual sensor in Python that can read QR codes and adding location coordinates to the QR codes. Implemented the visual sensor to the Raspberry Pi, specifically its camera, so the UAV can detect drop-off locations through QR codes. Worked with GLAMOR lab (Grounding Language in Actions, Multimodal, Observations and Robots) in Natural Language Processing and Robotics field under Dr. Jesse Thomason. Developed a virtual agent in Python using AI2-THOR library which can be controlled through language. Implemented template-based semantics parsing to parse, or to find, phrases or objects in one command. Utilized Levenshtein distance to help the agent understand spelling mistakes by measuring the differences between the input and the corresponding words. Show less
