Program Assistant/Co-Instructor for Project D.A.T.E. (Discovering Alternatives for Today's Encounters) a recognized peer education program discussing sexual assault and rape on college campuses and the community through presentations and on-campus. Assisted the instructor and director in the planning and execution of information, orientation, and training sessions for new peer educators. Also helped in the planning and executing of week long events for the campus and community during the Fall and Spring semesters. These events consisted of workshops and panels discussing the issues and fears surrounding rape and sexual assault and how to be active bystanders. During weekly class sessions, assisted in teaching new and continuing members of the program to become experts on the topic and how to become resources for students. Members were shown how to put together knowledgeable and attention-grabbing presentations and how to become expert public speakers.
