Worked as a Senior Counselor supervising 8-12 campers in a day camp setting (mostly working with adolescents). Was promoted to Archery Director in 2010. Went back to being a counselor the next year as it seemed a better fit. Was promoted in 2012 to Extended-Care Director. Lead, instructed, and participated with children in all camp activities including swim lessons, climbing tower, hiking, field games, nature, arts and crafts, etc. Interacted positively with parents, children, and fellow staff members. Worked multiple sessions as a rock climbing instructor teaching campers how to belay, proper climbing technique, specialty knots, and about safety equipment. CURRENTLY: Supervisor of 7-10 staff members and lifeguards and approximately 100 campers during the After-Care program from 2:30-6pm at YMCA Camp Sloper; managing staff, a range of activities, all behavior and first-aid issues, groups, paperwork, lifeguards, and parent communication.
