Evelyn was instrumental in getting the entire town of Southington involved in the S.T.E.P.S initiative which is a program to help all students in all grades make positive connections both at their schools and in the community. The greater number of connections, the greater chance of success. Evelyn is passionate, organized, focused and inspirational. She has been a pleasure to work with in a variety of S.T.E.P.S. committees and is key to the organization's continued success. She has developed transferrable skills which will assist her in any task or position for which she applies.

It is with pleasure that I endorse Evelyn Ciaburi. I worked with Evelyn when she was student teaching at Southington High School. I witnessed first hand her engagement with students. She was always positive and encouraging and she created relationships that helped further her students' education. In addition, I worked with her on the ABC- Asset Building Classroom committee while she was at SHS. She is dynamic and creative. She has an insight into what needs to be done and she quietly persists until it is done!. She is a true leader. She knows how to get the job done and she does it well. She builds assets in students in all of her interactions with them. Evelyn demonstrates all that is right about being a teacher.
