The objective of the TRAIDE Foundation is to increase sustainable trade and investments in Africa to positively contribute to inclusive economic growth. We believe that the private sector plays a key role in the transition from ‘aid to trade’, by creating decent jobs, exchange of knowledge, and introducing new technologies to the market. TRAIDE works with a variety of stakeholders, including local private sector associations (PSAs), to ensure that investments are made in a socially and environmentally sustainable way. Currently, we have trade facilitation programs in Ethiopia and Rwanda. Currently involved in projects focused on energy sector development and responsible business conduct support. Treasurer & Commissioner Facilities
-
Sep 2015 - Sep 2016
At the board of the Study Association for Political Science Students in Leiden (SPIL), I served as Treasurer and Facilities Commissioner for one academic year. This association has over one thousand members and is one of the largest study associations in Leiden. Therefore, the association is very active and organizes many activities. Being part of the daily management, being treasurer, gave me the opportunity to manage all financially-related business of the association. Next to this, I chaired the Facilities Committee as Commissioner. This means I was leading the organization of all leisure activities for the members of SPIL. Together with my five-member committee, we executed these activities on a weekly basis.
