  Throughout the summer of 2022 I was YOURgb Events' summer intern between my third and fourth year of university. As an event management student this opportunity was an incredible way to gain hands on event experience which coincided perfectly with the theory I learnt at university. I was given the opportunity to be involved in a range of events during my time as an intern such as The Royal Highland Show, The List Festival launch party, and TSB Pride of Scotland Awards to name a few.   This role was a 9-5 Monday to Friday role all through school summer holidays working at Dalkeith Country Park's Outdoor Kid's Summer Club. I worked with a different group of 18 children per week running outdoor arts and crafts, games and challenges.

  This temporary position at YOURgb events allowed me to be an event assistant at the Royal Highland Show 2021. Working within a team of 6 people we coordinated, planned and assisted both off and on site at the Highland Show. The event was digital due to COVID-19 so the team and I were responsible for ensuring all livestreams and programmes ran smoothly. My roles included Youtube management and working closely with sponsors and businesses who were involved with the event.
