  During the Summer of 2022, I served as a Research Assistant in the laboratory of Xiaozhong Wen, MD, PhD, an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Jacobs School of Medicine. The project I worked on during the summer and continue to work on virtually during the 2022-2023 school year helps pregnant women to quit smoking. My duties included operating the cash register, maintaining the shoe department stockroom in an orderly manner, and providing fashion advice to shoppers.
