Designed and modified jigs and fixtures to assist in robotic GMAW welding of seat structures as well as gaining familiarity in the programming and troubleshooting of Yaskawa Motoman robots. Developed poka yokes to error proof assembly process and created "red rabbits" to test sensors for proper operation. Facilitated use of Solidworks and GD&T techniques to create detailed drawings of parts and assemblies. Control Devices is a leading manufacturer of high quality valves serving the compressed air, pressure washer, automotive, fluid power, fire protection, specialty gas, and pneumatic industries. I provided assistance in the design and launch of several new products including: multi-tip nozzles for Briggs and Stratton, a new throttle control design for truck mounted air compressors, Waterhog compact condensate trap, as well as several refrigerant distributor designs. Some of my other duties included: updating drawings, bill of material entry, and creation of 3D printed prototypes. Show less

I worked with Quality and Industrial Engineering departments to aid in the design and manufacture of seating for the automotive industry. Some of my duties include: rigid fixture design, statistical analysis of function test data and welding processes, static load testing, writing excel macros to automate repetitive tasts, reviewing weld penetration studies and performing some basic machining processes. In addition, I was responsible for designing and testing a quench process to quickly cool parts before being sonic welded. This process shaved more than a minute off the cycle time of that line.
