  Reporting: To the Chief Executive Officer.Duties and Responsibilities:(a) Develop, implement and manage the procurement policy/strategies and procedures for the Commission(b) Plan and manage all activities involved in sourcing suppliers, procurement, quality assurance, financial, logistics and delivery activities(c) Prepare and send out tender bidding documents/request for regular and specialized supplies/services(d) Schedule procurement in line with budgets(e) Provide oversight to the requisitions process to ensure competitive quotations for the purchases of goods and services(f) Ensure that best practices are employed in the supply chain management(g) Ensure line managers and tender committees are provided with logistical advice to ensure effective and efficient procurement(h) To facilitate and convene procurement committees' meetings(i) Facilitate prompt and accurate delivery of goods, services or equipment following the award of tenders or orders(j) Develop long-term and short-term procurement plans in liaison with users and as per Commission requirements(k) Ensure that services and goods are delivered on time and are within stated specifications and standards(l) Prepare inventory coding and classification and maintain it on equipment and tools, and ensure proper inventory control(m) Monitor usage of purchases and supplies to ensure that irregularity, duplication and wastage is minimized(n) Work with technical teams involved in various KFC programmes or projects to determine requirements for specialized equipment, tools, materials or services(o) Provide quality assurance on supplies
