In this campus position, I am responsible for tutoring students in need of comprehension of Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Math, specifically Business Math. As with any workplace, I deal with a broad range of understanding and competency levels in the individuals I interact with. To accomplish my objectives, I use my communication skills and knowledge to outline and convey the information from each subject, or class, to the student in a manner that the student can receive and retain.

Orientation Leader (OL)

Over two summers, I worked as an Orientation Team Staff Member. This position required a high degree of maintaining energy and communication skills in a team-oriented environment.In the first summer, I worked 7 out of the 8 two-day sessions as a OL. This role required me to work alongside a fellow OL in supervising and directing a group of 20-30 incoming students. I had to be knowledgeable of my locations and information about the university.In my second summer, I worked in the Logistics team, delivering materials and assisting with the set-up of different sessions. There was a great need to communicate between members in order to facilitate the event. Through this, I was able to practice my communication skills and improve my ability to work with a team.

Summer Conference Assistant (CA)

Conference Assistants work alongside RLL in order to facilitate and make sure summer camps and conferences run smoothly. Requiring attention to detail and an ability to work quickly, we would do check-ins and check-outs, working as an assistance resource during them. In addition to that, we were required to update all the RCRs, room condition reports, in the residence halls on campus. This required us to learn quickly how to and to efficiently and thoroughly examine rooms for items that needed to be noted.

Statistics Intern

Under the NIC Unit in the Statistics Department, I was tasked with the reviewing of BHC annual reports. The project assigned to me was to review 122 reports in the span of 11 weeks. Averaging 10 reports a week, I juggled communicating with reporters, attending educational events, and networking with colleagues. This position demanded a great attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and continued organization in order to be successful. Raising up to these challenges, I came away with a stronger ability in all three characteristics. In concerns to completion of the reviewing the reports, I had a 93% completion percentage.

Part-Time General Labor Supervisor

This position was centered around general property maintenance for out-of-state property owner. The tasks of this position included activities such as painting, lawn maintenance, landscaping, and purchasing materials. I developed my skills of being conscientious of my work time and my work ethic. Whilst performing intensive work in a prolonged high temperate environment, I supervised the younger members of the workforce in order to assure tasks were being completed.
