Bio
Jean Pierre Menard
Beyond being a strong mechanical engineer, Evan’s strength is a WOO (Win Other Over.) He works hard, and celebrates accomplishments – focusing the celebration on others and the team. He cultivates strong relationships with manufacturing, and easily collaborates across disciplines during the design cycle to implement their ideas. He began his engineering career managing engineering data insides SAP, and comprehends that good design, is backed by the good discipline of accuracy and control in documentation. He is a man of action, and often would suggest during a lengthy discussion of alternate solutions, of just going down into the lab and mocking some ideas up to demonstrate and test the options. He brings a sense of urgency, but with excitement & passion, not as a slave-driver. Recently, Evan had a breakout year at Skyline. While most of the engineering team was focused on moving Skyline up the market pyramid & PLC (Product Life Cycle) work, Evan solely led the engineering effort to back fill our portable products with new product lines. He initially reviewed our new product development process and proposed accelerated timelines and reduced effort for new product releases. With this new proposed process, Evan scoped 4 projects and identified only 2 projects would fit into the schedule. After approval for 2 projects, Evan worked with brand-new Skyline product managers and kept the projects moving forward, always conscious of the schedule by: • leveraging the skills and strength of the drafters and detailers; challenging them to participate in the design of parts, creating elegant, low cost solutions. • collaborating with exhibit designers, customer service people, and manufacturing; listening to concerns, and eliminating confusion. • recognizing the immense need for training throughout the process and creating an

I effectively manage our products throughout their life cycle, by executing cost savings efforts and re-designs to improve on functionality, ease of use, and visual attractiveness. I also design and launch new display products. Throughout these duties I work closely with SAP to manage parts, part data, part analysis, and engineering change orders (ECO's).
