  The expansion and development of public infrastructure in order to facilitate Ireland's transition to a low-carbon society in the decade ahead will lead to considerable change at the local community level. My current research investigates deliberative engagement processes for energy grid system change both in Ireland and Internationally.

  My research currently seeks to investigate a multi-stakeholder approach to the socio-technical transition to a low-carbon society, through a transdisciplinary engaged research approach on the Dingle Peninsula. Working collaboratively with a number of stakeholders as part of the ‘Dingle Peninsula 2030’ project this research explores the merging of top-down and bottom-up approaches.
