  Research Contributor to ‘Increased Flexibility in ATCO Validation’ solution in SESAR Wave 3. This project is looking for technical and procedural means to decrease the need for a reference to geographical areas of responsibility. My role is to contribute to the validation of standardized procedures and increased automation to ensure controllers’ situational awareness.Coordinator for ‘PERFORM’ Project, internal project aiming at maximising the transfer of research results towards operational results. The project goal is validating the integration of meteorological predictions developed in CRIDA’s research projects within ENAIRE operational tools in order to ensure information usability for the FMP position.Validation Lead for the ‘Dynamic Airspace Configuration’ solution in SESAR Wave 2 Programme. Responsible for the design and coordination of the DAC concept validation activities, in which airspace design and configuration processes incorporate automation, procedures and design principles to gain cost efficiency. In addition, I am responsible for ENAIRE’s Real Time Simulation exercise.Validation Plan Lead for the ‘Flight Centric ATC’ solution in SESAR Wave 2 Programme. Responsible for the planning of the validation activity of this solution, which proposes a new ATC paradigm where several controllers can provide Air Traffic Service in the same sector.Specification of Fast Time Simulation needs. My task consists of identifying and specifying needs for the RAMS Plus® fast-time simulator in order to ensure its usability for the activities carried out by CRIDA and ENAIRE simulation department. This exploratory research Project developed and validated complexity metrics to better support airspace design and configuration process.ENAIRE Focal Point for PJ08 “Advanced Airspace Management Project” for SESAR 2020 Programme. The Project researched on the benefits of the Dynamic Airspace Configuration. Leadership of the ENAIRE validation exercise of the ATC operational procedures for this environment.ENAIRE Focal Point for PJ07 “Optimisation of Airspace Users operations” for SESAR 2020 Programme. The main goal of PJ07 was achieving a closer integration of the Airlines needs in the Air Traffic Demand and Capacity balancing process.Contributor to PJ09 “Advanced Demand and Capacity Balance” Project (SESAR2020 Programme). My task was defining the requirements for the systems providing support in the complexity assessment and supporting Demand and Capacity Balancing decision making. Show less

  Contributor for AUTOPACE Project. AUTOPACE proposed basic research on a Psychological Model to predict how automation would impact on human performance. Amongst my tasks were the elaboration and maintenance of the PMP, preparation of expert judgement sessions, coordination of the dissemination activity and contribution to all the research activities participated by CRIDA.Responsible for the specification, verification and validation of ENAIRE complexity prediction tool based on the workload analysis calculation (WAC). This tool was used in the context of several SESAR validation exercises validating Complexity Management Concepts.Main contributor to ERAS Project (Simulation Division of ENAIRE). Responsible for the specification to enhance the RAMS Plus fast-time simulator to support SCOPE methodology for calculating the ATC sectors operational capacity.Participation in SESAR 2020 proposals preparation PJ09 Advanced DCB and PJ08 Advanced Airspace Management, contribution to the exercise roadmap elaboration.Support the coordination of SESAR OFA05.03.04 Enhance Air Traffic Flow Capacity Management (ATFCM) Processes: Responsible for the assessment of the coherency and consistency of the work delivered within this SESAR Operational Focus Area (OFA).   Responsible for CRIDA contribution to TITAN project (7th Framework Programme), this project developed a A-CDM based airport operations model which was validated by means of an airport operations validation tool designed and developed within the project.ENAIRE main contributor to SESAR P03.02.02 IBPs Use Planning and P03.02.01 IBPs & Tools Baseline Documentation. Responsible for the definition of the evolution of ENAIRE validation infrastructure used in SESAR.Team Leader of the group developing a Conflict Detection and Resolution Model to be used in Fast Time Simulations (FTS) implemented within the FTS tool ‘RAMS’.SESAR WP03 Exercise Support Coordinator of the validation exercise EXE-04.07.01-VP-003. Responsible for the coordination of the system engineering process followed by the SESAR validation platform.Contributor to RTS exercise carried out within EuroControl Maastricht Upper Airspace Control Center (MUAC) contract for SESAR SWP04.03 Integrated and pre-operational validation & cross validations at (MUAC).
