  Apart from my role as Senior efficacy Specialist described below, I am as well regulatory project manager being extensively involved in the preparation and submission of biocidal active substance dossiers and biocidal product dossiers including biocidal product family dossiers under the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) or National registration as well under transitional measures.

  My role in Exponent is to advise on the efficacy requirements for biocides and to prepare regulatory dossiers with respect to efficacy under the framework of the Biocidal Products Regulations (BPR). I provide guidance for clients on the interpretation of EU and National efficacy data requirements (including expert guidance on the type and amount of efficacy data required to fulfill those data requirements), for national rules submissions, new active substances, mutual recognition applications and national re-registrations under the EU BPR. I have undertaken Data Gap Analyses of clients existing efficacy data sets, providing guidance as to the type, quality and quantity of efficacy data required to fulfill the necessary data requirements for biocide products, and providing recommendations on suitable testing facilities to conduct such tests. I have written tiered summary documents for the efficacy sections of biocide active substance and biocidal product submissions (including data waivers where necessary). In addition I design efficacy study plans and provides expert comment on clients existing efficacy study pans to fulfill efficacy data requirements for biocide products and provide guidance as to the placing of efficacy tests within the EU, which best fit the client’s needs for biocide In October 2018 in Liverpool (UK) and in March 2019 (Amsterdam), I was one of the two trainees of the Biocides Efficacy Training Course prepared by Exponent and organised by Chemical Watch. A comprehensive and practical introduction to the efficacy of biocidal products. This course was aimed at the non-expert and is designed to provide a detailed overview and examination of the efficacy requirements under the BPR (information/data requirements, methodology, expected performance norms) and available guidance in a regulatory context.
