I have known Eva for more than 6 years, since we first worked collaboratively at Modesto Junior College. I was always so impressed with her dedication, hard work, and loving way of carrying out her tasks. For the past two years we have collaborated closely in the development and success of my professional counseling and research practice, Grad Mentor (grad-mentor.com). I most wholeheartedly appreciate Eva for the following qualities. She is: • Passionate • Intellectually-gifted • Well-educated in higher education administration and leadership • Deeply empathic and sympathetic toward others • Genuine, with high personal integrity • Glowing and positive in her presence among others • Creative and expressive • A powerful advocate for diversity, equity and social justice • Courageous and tenacious • Resilient and persistent • People-centered and personable, with solid networking skills • Insightful toward people’s needs • Loving and kind • Excellent presentation skills • Excellent listening skills • Idealistic • Enthusiastic • Optimistic and positive • Team-focused and collaborative • Adaptable • Organizationally-insightful I truly recommend her to be a leadership within an organization that advocates for the success of students and employees. I have known Dr. Munguía for eight years and I have had the privilege of working with her for three years at Palo Verde Community College District where she served in two strategic positions: Director of our Needles Education Center and Program Director of our CDCR Transitions Program. Dr. Munguía’s education and professional experience qualify her for middle management positions in higher education. She is well-liked by students, staff, community members, and everyone she meets. She has a passion for underrepresented and historically underachieving students that drives her to help them experience success in education and in life. In sum, Dr. Munguía is an excellent leader, contributor, and colleague who will make an outstanding candidate for any middle management position in higher education.
