  As the Design Assistant, I work on both Residential and Commercial projects. I worked in Chief Architect to create floor and furniture plans, create presentations with renders and finish selections as well as work in Photoshop to show clients a range of color selections for their space. I also help with Administrative tasks within the office such as ordering samples, emailing clients and vendors. I would also go on all site visits alongside one of the designers to assist with site measurements and keeping notes of tasks that will need to completed after the visit. Show less

  As a Kent State campus tour guide, my role was to welcome potential students and their families to campus. Each tour consisted of providing information about residential halls, meal plans, recreational facilities and general knowledge about the students area of study. I also provided knowledge of life on campus along with tools and resources that Kent State University offers to its students.   As the design intern at Options Plus Furniture, I assisted with creating floor plans, 3D renders and detail drawings of spaces and elements for clients in Home Designer Pro and AutoCAD. I also used Quickbooks to create project estimates for clients. Weekly, I met with clients on site along side my boss to discuss project scope, budget and timeline for their project. I also oversaw countertop installations in residential projects as well as furniture installations in higher education projects.
