Site Management Team Leader

I am the Site Management Team Leader at Wood Group with overall responsibility for the management of our portfolio of wind and solar farms across the UK and Northern Ireland on behalf of our Clients. My experience includes extensive WTG inspections and site management on operational wind and solar farms and these duties have been performed on behalf of a wide range of clients including developers, owners, operators, lenders and investors.Since joining Wood Group as the first member of the operations team in 2012, in addition to being a site manager and conducting a wide variety of WTG inspections throughout Europe and Asia on a number of different WTG types, I have also become responsible for the site management of fourteen operational wind farms and two solar parks. With a staff of regional site managers reporting directly to me, I ensure that all aspects of our Client’s site management requirements are met, from dealing with local stakeholders to BoP maintenance, contractor and H&S management. I am also a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for HV operations on all sites under the management of the Wood Group High Voltage Safety Rules.I have thirteen years of experience in the renewable energy sector having worked in wind farm development, design, management, operation and performance optimisation. As an Honours graduate in Electrical Engineering, prior to joining Wood Group I was the Assistant Project Manager for the development of a wind farm in Northern Ireland which provided experience in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) preparation, wind data management and analysis, key contract review, management of contractors and operational handover. After this I was the site manager for a small portfolio of operational windfarms where I was directly responsible for the operational performance, asset management and contractual management of the sites.
