      • Feb 2023 - Present

During this intership I investigated therapy resistance in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), the most common lung cancer type. I participated to a pilot project exploring novel resistance mechanisms through analytical methods. I performed cell cultures with tumor cell lines and I employed spectroscopic (UV/vis, Raman, FTIR) and chromatographic techniques (liquid and gas chromatography, the latter with mass detector) for their characterization through a collaboration between the ITB and ICCOM laboratories at CNR/Pisa. I also acquired skills in the data processing through chemometric techniques such as Principal Component Analysis Show less

    • Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Laboratory trainee:
      • Sep 2020 - Jan 2023

During the two years master in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine we have complete our laboratory formation through two different trainees. First, we have worked, independently, with cell culture (adherent and suspension cell culture, cell counting, growth curve, cell differentiation, cell staining, primary cell culture), PCR, RT-PCR, Western blotting, biomaterial, 3D culture, scaffold formation, cytotoxic assays, etc. Second, we have designed and performed a research project in groups. More precisely we have created an in vitro model(2D and 3D culture) of peripheral nerve regeneration by co-culturing mechanically aligned Schwann cell constructs with different neuronal cell populations. Therefore, I have gained knowledge not only in laboratory techniques but also in planning the phases of a scientific study, leadership development, diagnosis dynamics in project teams, data interpretation and evaluation and problem solving Show less

    • Internship Trainee
      • Jul 2019 - Aug 2019

The Center for Research in Molecular Medicine and Chronic Disease (CiMUS) was created on February 17th, 2010 by the Governing Council of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). CiMUS is a member of the network of singular research centres with a new model of scientific organization, which constitutes one of the R&D strategic pillars of the CAMPUS VIDA project (Campus of International Excellence, MEC-MICINN, 2009) I have participated in the Galician Oncological Research Group, which current research is focused on: Inorganic nanoparticles as new tool for cancer treatment, Genetic basis of human disease, Pharmacogenomics and pharmacogenetics, Genome medicine. During my internship I did: cell culture with tumoral and non-tumoral cell lines, MTT cytotoxic assays, flow cytometry, clonogenic assays, Westernblot, radiotherapy. Show less
