Contributing to a podcast by staff and students at Imperial College London. We interview Imperial’s experts around human health (Season 1) and the future (Season 2). Specifically, I have been involved in brainstorming, content production, networking, interviewing and Instagram social media marketing. In the first season I was in charge of an episode on sleep and the brain, and in the second season (yet to be released) I was in charge of 2 episodes revolving around the topics of sustainability, a circular economy, renewable materials and packaging. In both seasons I researched, planned and carried out the discussions with experts from Imperial College. Show less

Executive assistant to the Site Leader at the Ecublens Site of Thermo Fisher Scientific. For 2 months, I am tasked with assisting the Site in administrative manners, such as tasks for the Site Leader, for researchers, for marketing etc. I am also tasked with organising corporate events and communicating with teams for such organisation. My role also involves processing excel documents for financial organisation as well as for large file analysis and preparation for analytical software (in the context of chemical research). For the first 4 weeks, I also helped the EHS and Quality Manager, which provided me with experience in Gemba walks, and general workings of the EHS departement. I am also completing PPI training during my time at Thermo Fisher, including a live translation of a PPI training given by a colleague from an American Thermo Fisher Site. Being exposed to various stakeholder groups and coordination work. Show less

I was accepted in the SynBioUK Catalyse programme, a 5-week entrepeneurship programme connecting UK universities. The aim is to learn entrepreneurial skills and network with other students to form a team in order to create a project in synthetic biology. I worked on a project to address 2 SDGs: zero hunger and responsible consumption and production. My group investigated how to target the microbiome as a strategy to aid malnourished individuals in developing areas. Even though we did not produce a pitchable product, this experience was enriching, thanks to the diversity of people, backgrounds and expertises it brought together. I learned a lot from the finalist teams that pitched their projects to a panel of juries/investors. Show less

    • Summer Camp Group Leader
      • Jul 2021 - Jul 2021

I worked two weeks in a summer camp that welcomed 50 kids aged from 4 to 7 years old, divided into 5 groups. Each had 2 leaders, so another leader and myself were responsible for a group of 10 kids. The responsiblities included guiding activities (sports, arts and crafts, cooking etc), taking care of the children all day, playing with them, keeping them busy, being attentive and responsive, being authoritative when needed and keeping them entertained/making sure they were enjoying themselves. Two days a week we went on excursions out of the school, therefore this added the responsiblities of taking charge of the group during the day, eating and drinking, sunscreen, organisation and greater attention as we were out of school grounds. Once a week each pair of leaders would stay later in the evening to supervise the "nursery" - a few of the children were signed up for this, meaning they would stay in school later. Show less
