  I join other lecturers in the Department of Crop Science and Horticulture to raise responsible, knowledgeable and entrepreneurs (young men and women), who with diverse interests in Crop Science help to alleviate poverty, improve food security in Nigeria and beyond. They will do this through breeding to improve crop varieties and growing such improved varieties for the benefit of the humanity using suitable methods, appropriate time and spacing.
