  Position: Route Planner (Boxer DC East London, TMS contract Eastern Cape) Duties: Deliver a least cost route plan via the PLATO planning tool (46 stores). Ensure that the least cost daily route plan is achieved for the entire fleet (27 trucks). • Ensure that the PLATO database is accurate and up to date (DB Management) • Ensure that the daily route plan is adhered to • Ensure daily feedback from vehicle expediters is input into the planning system • Liaise with on-site operations staff to be 100% aware of daily operational activities which may influence planning. • Deliver documentation and analysis on assigned projects • Ensure that NDDs for customers are accurate • Ensure that the visibility and hit rate is 100% • Ensure management and operational reporting (KPI reporting) is accurate, up to date and send out daily • Ensure that queries are investigated and are sent back within reasonable time frame • Compare variance between planned vs actual vehicles and drops/vehicle • Report to the Contract Services Manager on a weekly basis • Communicate and Interact regularly with operations • Improve the Base stats (Savings & Improvement Implementation) • Expected to do Data Analysis (Presentations & Meetings) • Meet all regular and Ad-hoc deadlines Show less
