English Tutor
-
Sep 2019 - Mar 2020
Before COVID, I was selected to partake in my Sixth Form's 'Working with Woodrush' tutoring scheme, where I one-to-one tutored a Year 10 GCSE class. It was a very rewarding and valuable experience. Tutoring taught me to be adaptable and innovative when exploring the best teaching styles for each student. I often had to teach texts I myself had not studied at GCSE, which again enhanced my raw skills in order to assist the students. Member of 'Cloud 9'
-
Sep 2018 - May 2019
I was invited to be a member of the 'Cloud 9' society, which was an exclusive society of students whose estimated grades were all 9s (A**s) at GCSE. The group was made less than 5% of my cohort. Weekly meetings were hosted, which coached us to reach our potential, and often we had external visitors and speakers. It was a very motivating experience, and I enjoyed networking and collaborating with my peers.
