Diligent, patient and meticulous, Ethna is a pleasure to work with. If there is a tricky task that needs to be carefully managed from start to finish, her methodical approach ensures colleagues and clients will stay on track and the job will always be completed on time. But Ethna is more than a good organiser; she is also a writer of great copy, understands journalist requirements and is fun to be around.

I worked with Ethna as part of a small team and was impressed with her hard work and determination. She quickly demonstrated the ability to be a fast learner who was eager to develop by gaining a sound understanding of the financial technology sector. Ethna's greatest strength was her ability to build and establish media relationships and achieve a number of high quality placements for her clients on a constant basis.

I taught English First Language and Literature courses and grammar to middle school (Years 6-8) and high school (Year 9 and 12) following the UK Stage 3, IGCSE and IB Diploma curriculums. In the middle school I taught both literature, language and grammar to students from a range of nationalities and with varying abilities of English. In the high school I taught the IGCSE English Language and Literature course to Year 9 and I have taught the IB Higher Level English Language and Literature course to Year 12. I also taught a mixed Year 6, 7 and 8 English media course, where students learnt about the media and worked collaboratively to produce the school newspaper. I was a Year 6 form tutor and worked collaboratively with colleagues to prepare lessons as well as to share ideas and resources.

A secondary school English and History teacher at Jindabyne Central School. I taught Years 7 through to 12 in English, including the Preliminary and HSC courses in the senior years, and Years 8 through to 10 in History. My students ranged from a class of gifted and talented students to ESL and students with learning support. As well as lesson planning and teaching classes, I was also responsible for planning and programming, marking, monitoring student attendance and personal professional development. I coached the schools Stage 3 debating team, resulting in a zone win in the 2016 Premiers Debating Challenge. By using ICT such as Google Classroom, Google Documents and Google Drive, I encouraged my students to become more independent learners who take responsibility for their own learning. In October 2016 I was asked by my Head Teacher to become a mentor for a trainee teacher who carried out her initial three-week teaching placement at the school. I was required to mentor and guide her in her practice as a teacher, in which she was successful and passed her placement commendably.
