We asked Ethan to contribute in several roles during his internship at Xaviant: 1. QA intern: Test features in development, effectively report defects, give actionable feedback. Ethan's passion for gaming served him well in this role. 2. Engineering intern: Create automated and tool-assisted tests. Ethan showed a strong interest in delivering effective and maintainable automation. It's easy to fall into a trap of writing too many tests with a high recurring/ongoing cost, so I was pleased to see Ethan already thinking about the total cost of a test. 3. Technical Community Coordinator: Ethan was our first point of contact on both our internal and Steam community forums, and was the primary support contact for our Tech Support sub-forums. Ethan regularly demonstrated tenacity in solving customers' problems and escalating to the project team when needed. His contribution is a significant component in creating a strongly positive reaction in the Steam Early Access community to our first game (Lichdom:Battlemage) and the company.

Alongside my position as the technical community manager I help resolve technical bugs and create software that aids in the debugging process. I also help quality assurance with finding and resolving bugs.

Alongside my position as an engineering intern I field all technical questions in the Steam forums. I am the first line of defense in helping users resolve their technical problems. It is my job to pass on any important feedback or bug reports as well as collect data from users experiencing game-breaking bugs. I communicate with these individuals to ensure they can quickly get their issues resolved and enjoy playing the game as it was meant to be played.

My job was to coordinate volunteers for the 2015 Smite World Championship. I answered questions volunteers had and helped ensure that all volunteers knew what they should be doing. I also assisted in setting up and tearing down the venue and helped get miscellaneous things ready the month before. My job was to coordinate volunteers for the 2015 Smite World Championship. My job was to help 1302C students (Program and Problem Solving II) with their labs. These labs consisted of learning and writing code in C# to make functional video games. Students were tasked with creating a video game during the semester. I was there to help them with that as well. I also acted as a tutor for multiple students throughout the semester. This was a one semester job. My job was to help 1302C students (Program and Problem Solving II) with their labs.
