  In order to better enhance my robotic skills, I decided to take extra lesson in Great Mind where they offer classes about object-oriented programming. I started with graphical programming language NXT-G. Now I am learning RobotC in the Enhanced Robotics classes, and is using LEGO robots to try out my code. RobotC is an educational product, based on a subset of a professional language called “C” (one of the oldest and currently #2 used language in the world; also a root language for professional languages such as C++, C# and Java – all in the top 5 most popular languages in the world.

  The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) offers a selective summer program to high achieving students who are passionate about Engineering. This one-week program includes a number of hands-on engineering and construction activities under the mentorship of engineering professionals and uniform service members. The activities include several design challenges and sports competitions such as: (1) Designing, constructing and destructive testing of concrete beams (2) Building functional cardboard boats to be raced in relay races (3) Construction and testing of a remotely operated underwater vehicle Through these interesting activities, I learned about the theory of building an underwater vehicle,which can receive a signal in the water. I also learned the structural design and physics of making a cardboard boat that will float in the water and decrease the speed of sinking.
