  Avertana is an Auckland based start-up focused on refining industrial waste streams into suitable mineral and chemical products using innovative chemistry, advanced materials, and process design. Daily activities included: ● Working with the Avertana engineers at the South Auckland plant assisting them in the operation and maintenance of the demo-scale chemical process. ● Servicing of sulphation reactors and process equipment. ● Responsible for purchasing supplies and equipment required for day-to-day operations. ● Tasked with a project collaborating with the Auckland University Mechanical Engineering department in the design, sourcing of materials and construction of an enclosure and dust extraction system for a commercial sieve-shaker unit.
