Col Griffin's leadership style can be summed up in one word: natural. During my time at Dover AFB, as the Commander of the Super Port, I had the pleasure of learning from his leadership style and adding those nuggets of wisdom to my leadership tool box. He had a genuine care for the base populace and the Dover community, he inspired his commanders to be the best we could be in our respective units. When tragedy struck my squadron, he cleared his afternoon to grieve with all of us. That really stuck with me, that he really cared. During our monthly squadron commander breakfasts, he listened to each and every one of us, not only asking for our inputs but truly listening and making required changes. Col Griffin is a brilliant leader, a great husband and father to his family, and a genuinely good man.
