I led efforts on traffic studies for projects where the clients were public agencies and private developers. The expertise I brought for this type of work resulted in it being able to be performed in-house. I helped the organization achieve project success with my technical expertise to provide what was needed, work within budget, and finish on schedule, meeting client expectations. Most of my activities at the Grand Forks-East Grand Forks MPO centered around developing the 2017 Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Update, including the following: I acquired crash data from the NDDOT and MnDOT regarding crashes between motor vehicles and bicyclists or pedestrians in the Grand Forks-East Grand Forks area. I then used this data to perform a cross-tabulation analysis of the provided crash data to determine possible trends and relationships related to the crashes. I developed preliminary designs for on-road bicycle facilities for the Grand Forks-East Grand Forks MPO. I based appropriate bicycle facility designs on existing street conditions and applicable standards from the AASHTO Guide for the Development of Bicycle Facilities and the NACTO Urban Bikeway Design Guide. I refined existing and planned bicycle facility access to trip generators for the Grand Forks-East Grand Forks area from the year 2013 to be reflective of year 2017. Show less
