Shortly after I arrived, our organization received word to evacuate all U.S. personnel and equipment from Afghanistan. In this trial-by-fire, I communicated with dozens of clients and stakeholders to consolidate transportation requests, analyze them, and coordinate with external agencies to source aircraft amongst a turbulent and dynamic environment. I led a team a 4 to accomplish a crucial part of this historic event.- Led four employees to process transportation requests that equated to 74% of all generated requests. - Facilitated transport of over 48 million pounds of cargo and 23,000 personnel via aircraft. - Developed techniques to accurately monitor work performed and complete the project within the 77 day schedule and yielding only a 1.1% margin of error for planned vs performed work. This was an incredibly unique experience in which I consulted the Korean Army’s Director of Logistics and his executive staff on U.S. logistics policies, processes, and capabilities within Korea.
