Search for new heavy quarks in multi-lepton topologies, in LIP (Laboratório de Instrumentação e Física Experimental de Partículas) analysing data from the ATLAS experience at CERN. Multivariate techniques were used (such as artificial neural networks and boosted decision trees) in order to separate signal and background events. This work resulted in the production of my MSc dissertation, with the title "Use of a Multivariate Analysis in the Search for Vector-Like Quarks at the LHC".
